Alice Soro Cillara is an Italian set/interior designer and prosthetics artist for movies, advertising and theater.
She graduated at Ligustica Academy of Fine Arts of Genova (Italy) as set designer and BCM of Milan (Italy) as a prosthetics make up artist, honing her craft under her mentor, renowned painter and sculptor Elio Pulli, from whom she learned how to use a large variety of materials and the precision of traditional techniques.
Specializing in prosthetics, Alice has provided her expertise to a far-ranging client base of advertising and design firms, and theatre and film productions. Her makeup, masks and hyper realistic prototypes (fake food, fake glass, ice, snow, metal, etc.), coupled with an ability to work with a wide range of materials (plastics of all kinds, silicones, resins, clay, plaster, wood, etc) lends her a consistent creative edge in challenging, dynamic work environments.
Her years of working alongside Leonardo Giacomo Borgese (www.leonardogiacomoborgese.com), Luca Stalla (www.1a100.it) and Francesca Fezzi (www.fzi-interiors.com) has led Alice to a multitude of projects for important Italian film, TV and theatre productions, and major international brands like Nike, Armani, Fujitsu, Lindt, Gillette, and even the Vatican, where she recreated the faces and bodies of some mummified priests and nuns.
She also worked 3 years for independent movie industry of The Philippines which is exceptionally growing and starting to be recognized worldwide.
Alice now is currently based in Copenhagen.
